The
Mid North Broadcaster is sold in Burra, Eudunda,
Peterborough, Booborowie, Hallett, Mt. Bryan, Terowie,
Clare, Farrell Flat, Manoora, Saddleworth, Robertstown,
Kapunda, Jamestown, Yongala, Orroroo and Yunta.
Its area extends north from the Barossa Valley,
and east from Clare to the NSW border.
Mixed farming and stud Merinos are the backbone
of the local economy, with key new developments
in intensive animal production in the region. Burra’s
mining heritage makes the district a major destination
for tourists, with Peterborough’s ‘Steamtown’
being another local attraction.
The Mid North Broadcaster is part of the Taylor
owned Murray Pioneer Group, with sister newspapers
in SA’s Riverland at Renmark (The Murray Pioneer),
Loxton (The Loxton News), Waikerie (The River News),
Pinnaroo (The Border Times) and in Gawler (The Bunyip).
